Hey you

Welcome to the blog. Here you’ll find daily dispatches and all the musings of our family’s adventures in our small town as we raise our kids, fix up our farm, and renovate houses, all through the lens of Keep & Delete, where we share the best (Keep) and worst (Delete) part of every day. Thanks for stopping by! We’re so glad you’re here.

How was your Thanksgiving?

We hosted both of our families this year (over 20 people!) for the first time ever, and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. We thankfully had beautiful weather all day, so the house was filled with the most beautiful light, Christmas music, smells (candles & cooking), and of course, family and friends.

Thomas’ brother Taylor and younger sister Sydney, along with Sydney’s girlfriend, spent the night on Thanksgiving Eve and woke up early with us. We had cinnamon rolls and watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the kitchen while we cleaned turkeys and prepped for dinner.

The fur babies were pretty funny all day, lounging by the fire or anywhere they could find sun. We think they enjoyed being around people who could love on them all day.

We had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and Thomas’ mom makes the best homemade cocktail sauce. She swears it’s never spicy enough but we think it’s just right.

With the table cleaned off, everyone started pouring in to eat. Some we hadn’t seen since last Thanksgiving, some we saw just the day before, but nonetheless, it was good to see each and every one of them.

PJ & his mom with the same look on their faces, and holding their phones the same way. Aren’t they cute?

With our friend, Golden

We had a Thanksgiving filled with food, love, laughter, and maybe even a little early Black Friday shopping. We hope yours was well, too, friend. Here’s to eating way more calories than we care to count, and to the start of the holiday season!
