Spring Nights
/Summer nights are sweet, aren't they? With their hot air and fireflies all around and the crickets chirping throughout the neighborhood. But, sometimes, spring nights can be just as magical when it's 68 degrees out and almost no humidity (a rarity here in TN).
That was the case last night as we took the girls for a long walk around the neighborhood looking at all the old houses we've seen a thousand times that somehow always look like it's the first time we've seen them. We came across this house a couple streets over from us that we've been obsessed with for years. Isn't it charming? It's a lot bigger than it looks from the front. Someone has been fixing it up (to sell? to live in? we need answers!!!) and it's absolutely gorgeous on the inside. It gives us a lot of ideas for a future project :)
When we got home (after stopping to get a couple ice-cream cones because yay for warmer weather) we responded to a couple of letters that we have been meaning to do for a while now (sorry y'all!!!!) with some wine and Pandora radio on in the background.
Someone made a comment the other day on our Instagram that they love that we're always drinking wine hahaha. Maybe it just seems like that from what we post on social media, but we usually only have about 3 glasses a week. Okay maybe 4 if we're feeling crazy. How does that quote by Omar Khayyám about wine go? “Drink wine. This is life eternal. This is all that youth will give you. It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends. Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.”
Yeah, that one. xx
