Hey you

Welcome to the blog. Here you’ll find daily dispatches and all the musings of our family’s adventures in our small town as we raise our kids, fix up our farm, and renovate houses, all through the lens of Keep & Delete, where we share the best (Keep) and worst (Delete) part of every day. Thanks for stopping by! We’re so glad you’re here.

The Book I Brought to the Beach

At the last minute (last minute as in, the morning of), we decided to drive down to the beach for the closing of our new house!

The last time we were here, just a few weeks ago, I finished a book, and ever since I’ve been looking for a new one. Our friend Matt recommend The Midnight Library, a book I’ve heard rave reviews about from just about everyone over the past year. Have you read it?

The summary describes it as:

“Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better?

In The Midnight Library, Matt Haig's enchanting blockbuster novel, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision. Faced with the possibility of changing her life for a new one, following a different career, undoing old breakups, realizing her dreams of becoming a glaciologist; she must search within herself as she travels through the Midnight Library to decide what is truly fulfilling in life, and what makes it worth living in the first place.”

It sounds magical, enchanting, and like the perfect book to get lost in for a few days. I’m excited to get started, as Matt said it’s so good he can already envision it as a TV miniseries.

Yes, please!
