Christmastime at Home
The temperature dropped down to the twenties tonight and the wind picked up just as we were getting home from the grocery store. We hurried inside, turned on all the lamps and the fire and settled in for the night.
And I looked around and suddenly felt so warm and cozy and safe. We were all exactly where we were meant to be: Home. I love nights like these. The house felt extra Christmassy, so I went around and snapped a few photos.
How sweet is this leather-wrapped book? A dear reader sent it to us last year and it’s my favorite ever. We will be bringing it out and displaying it every Christmas.
It’s pajama day at school tomorrow, and the kids are READY. All I want to do for the next week is relax at home in my own pajamas, with the fire going nonstop while we watch Christmas movies on the couch and eat warm, comforting food. Doesn’t that just sound like the best?
Only 7 more sleeps!
