Orange Juice Popsicles

Here’s a fun summer idea: orange juice popsicles!

Our daughter saw someone make these on a show she was watching the other day, and suddenly I couldn’t believe the thought hadn’t occurred to me before. Are orange juice popsicles really as easy and straightforward to make as they sound? Do you really just pour orange juice into popsicle molds and call it a day?

Turns out, you do! My mom got us these mermaid popsicle molds years ago and we’ve only used them a handful of times (read: thrice). Anna is in a huge mermaid phase right now (side note: we just saw The Little Mermaid this weekend and it was so good!!), so it seemed like the perfect time to use these to make some sort of popsicles.

I poured orange juice in them and let them sit over night. They were delicious! Super sticky, but delish. The kids loved it and got OJ everywhere, but that’s kind of the fun of summertime- getting sticky and dirty and then cleaning up afterwards.

Our friend Lexi suggested making strawberry cream pops next. She said she would do “strawberries blended + whipping cream + honey + water to make it a little less thick, and maybe a tiny dash of vanilla extract.”

How good and refreshing does that sound?
