False Fall
Yesterday and today have felt the best a day could possibly feel. The wind feels crisp, and it barely got above 80 degrees. Fall is coming and I can almost taste it. Of course, we still have another month of scorching hot weather and this cold front won’t last long (it’ll be in the 90’s next week I am sure of it), but I’m soaking up every last bit of it while it’s here.
The walk to and from school yesterday afternoon and this morning was extremely pleasant and there was an electricity in the air, especially this morning, that only happens when it starts to get cool outside.
After a quick dinner out last night, the kids and I walked to the park so they could run around and get their energy out before bed. I swear it was the middle of October and not the end of August. I promise you, if we could live in a world where the month of October (and its weather) lasted for more than 30 days, I would beam myself there immediately.
It just doesn’t get better than October, y’all.
Only a month away!
