A Sunny Afternoon in the Fall
The other day was one of the perfect autumn days I dream about all year. The sun is already changing in the afternoon and it pours just a little brighter and warmer through our windows in the late afternoon.
In other words, it’s the fall light I daydream about whenever it’s not fall.
The kids were home from school and dinner was simmering on the stove, filling the entire house with the delicious aroma of olive oil and chopped onions. PJ and the kids were in the living room while Alyster lounged in his favorite sunny spot this time of year: on top of the bookcases in the front room.
And I swear it’s days like this that I document the way I do. I want to remember these days more than any of the others. The days that mean so much to me because everyone I love most is just existing in the same rooms as me.
My favorite kind of day. But you already knew that.
