A Quick Day Trip to Atlanta
/PJ’s cousin’s husband had a very serious, scary accident a little over a month ago and was just moved to a hospital in Atlanta for treatment, so we jumped in the car this morning to go down and visit them.
While the circumstances were less than ideal, it still was so nice to spend the afternoon with our cousin, whom we love dearly. We met her and her son at the park so the kids could play and let out some of the pent up energy that comes with being cooped up in a car for two hours. It was a beautiful day, and despite the situation, there were some bright spots.
This was one of them.
We also stopped by Ponce City Market, which was bustling with people and shops and restaurants and was so fun and exciting.
How cute is this little food truck?
We also stopped in one of our favorite shops to look around. The kids and I each picked out our favorite chandelier from all the ones hanging from the ceiling, and I found myself wanting to take one of every rug home with us.
The only downside of the day was we had an unfortunate encounter with a sales rep at another store and now we’re scarred for life. It’s funny how one incident can change your whole mood, which it definitely did for us. Luckily we’ll never have to see this person again.
