Home Again
At 1 am early this morning, after a 13 hour travel day, we finally arrived back home and walked through our 100 year old door, past the pile of clothes on the couch that had been there for a week, and slowly started to turn on some lamps. We were home.
We had the time of our lives in Disney World, and then all over again on the Disney cruise. We met new people, our kids played with their new best friend the whole week, and we ate the best food and rode the best rides. A part of me still can’t believe it was real and that it happened. And worse, that it’s already over. We’ve known about this trip for four months, but we learned it had been planned for somewhere around a year. I can’t even begin to understand the logistics of putting a content creator trip of this size together, but the team at Disney is incredible and can do pretty much anything, I’m convinced.
And still, even after all the fun we had, there’s no feeling quite like coming back home after a long trip, is there? We spent today unpacking and cleaning and doing laundry, which are words I would use to describe my favorite kind of day: just putzing around the house doing house things. Know what I mean?
In other news, Allan has been coughing and blowing his nose nonstop for three days, just in time for us to get back home. We can’t catch a break with the sickness around here!
