Back Porch Grilling Weather

We haven’t used our grill in so long that I didn’t even think it worked anymore. A few weeks ago PJ fired it up and, to my surprise, it worked just fine! So we decided to marinate some chicken and grill them tonight, along with Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. We turned on the best playlist to listen to this time of year and poured some cabernet and had that indoor/outdoor kind of lifestyle that this time of the year affords us.

It was pure bliss and we’re enjoying this deliciously breezy weather as much as we can before it gets sweltering in a few weeks and our trips outside become a little less frequent.

I suppose my only delete for the day would be feeling slightly overwhelmed with work today, a fleeting emotion that happens every Tuesday before the weekly newsletter goes out. It was compounded today by a few looming deadlines that are on the calendar. Once we start crossing things off the list, I always feel SO much better and it’s like I can breathe clearer again. Until then, though!!
