We Have a Washer and Dryer At Holiday House!

Keep: Finally, after three attempts to get the washer and dryer delivered to Holiday House, each one being more difficult and frustrating than the last, we have a brand new washing machine and dryer all set up in our little laundry room!! We went with the same ones we have at our house in town because they’re big, they work great, and they’re easy on the eyes. Here is the washing machine we got and here is the dryer. We love that you can have them side by side (like we do at home) or stack them like this. Most of all, we just love that they’re installed because we’re planning to finally stay out there this weekend, and this way we can wash all the slipcovers and mattress pads and sheets.

Delete: While I am beyond elated to have the W/D installed, the delivery people were supposed to call us an hour before they were set to arrive to give us enough time to get out there. Well, they called this morning at 7:15am letting us know they were already there, which is the exact same thing they did last time when they wouldn’t wait on us to get out there and left, leading to a rescheduled delivery. This time, however, PJ said he would be there in 10 minutes (knowing it would take at least 25-30 to actually get out there) and immediately left, chugging his coffee as he was halfway out the door and I finished getting the kids off to school. It wasn’t the smoothest journey, but luckily it’s over now.
