Y’all Have a Beautiful Weekend

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? We celebrated our littlest kiddo’s second birthday today with the whole family, and it was so much fun for everyone to get together to celebrate her sassy, independent self. She wasn’t in the best mood today (mostly just sleepy), but we all had fun nonetheless. Kids don’t even remember birthdays until at least after 4 or 5, right?

We’re supposed to get some pretty bad weather this weekend down where we live- they’re calling for possible tornadoes. Hoping that isn’t the case, and hoping it’s not as severe where you live.

Hope you have a good one, friend!!

PS: looking to save the planet? This article gives you a good place to start.

Happy Friday! Any fun plans this weekend? As it gets closer to Christmas and the end of the year, it seems every weekend for us is busier than the next, but we’re just grateful to be working during the holidays, and we have some really fun collaborations coming up. Did you see our most recent YouTube video with Amazon? We had a blast shooting it and it was a lot of fun to put it all together. We love that big name companies like Amazon are partnering with the LGBTQIA+ community, especially during the holidays, because 20 years ago that would have never happened.

We also may have some new items in our online shop dropping this weekend so be on the lookout for that. PJ has been working on them for a while and is so excited to finally get them out there! We can’t wait for you to see them.

Stay warm, friends, and have a good one!

UPDATE: the new products are now LIVE!

Y’all Have a Relaxing Weekend

Any fun plans this weekend? It was Thomas’ brother’s birthday this week and we’re all going to our favorite restaurant tonight to celebrate! We also have a few campaigns to shoot this weekend, so it looks like it’s going to be as busy as our week was, but we’re okay with that. This time of the year is always the busiest for us and we’re grateful for the work.

We started Limetown on Facebook Watch this week. Have you seen it? Jessica Biel plays an investigative journalist who runs a successful podcast called “Limetown” all about the disappearance of several hundred people back in 2004 who lived in the small town (set in Tennessee!) of the same name. The episodes are short, only about 30 mins or so, and so thrilling. We love a good mystery/drama and this one was so, so good.

Also, we want to thank y’all for taking the time to read the articles we’ve written the last two weeks about us working with USA for UNHCR to help refugees around the world. We feel so passionately about this and are excited to continue helping and spreading the word however we can, and we so greatly appreciate your time and support.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend, friend! xoxo

PS: the secret to actually enjoying a long, dark winter.

Y’all Have a Warm & Cozy Weekend

Have any fun plans this weekend? After a busy week filled with a new school, appointments, conference calls, and car sickness (he handled it like a champ, though!), we’re looking forward to a relaxing weekend with nice, sunny weather. We have a couple of campaigns to shoot, but other than that, it’s going to be a pretty chill weekend.

We started watching The Morning Show on Apple TV+ and we can honestly say it’s one of the most addicting, bingeable shows out there right now. Have you seen it? It’s not getting the best reviews but it’s entertaining as hell to watch. And Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston absolutely KILL it in their rolls. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a new show to watch this fall.

Two last things: we want to thank everyone who has read and supported our articles regarding the refugee crisis! It’s something that means a lot to us and we can’t thank you enough. And lastly, we are dropping off new sweatshirt orders today at our local print shop and should be live on our website in a few weeks, so stay tuned!!!

Hope you have a good one, friends!

Any plans for the weekend? We think this is going to be the weekend that we……might….put up….CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. We know y’all have opinions about how early we decorate for Christmas because we hear them every year, haha. We just really love this entire season and only decorating and celebrating it for one month isn’t enough for us. When do YOU decorate for Christmas?

The forecast is calling for snow (!) on Tuesday next week which we would welcome with big, shivering arms. We rarely get snow in this part of the country and when we do it’s usually not until January or February. How crazy would it be if we got snow in November?! Plus we’d love to see what the kiddos thought of the snow. :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends! Stay warm!

Hope You Have a Great Weekend

Happy Friday! Do you have any fun plans this weekend? This is the first weekend in so long that we have zero plans (besides maybe working on the cottage) and right now that feels so good to us.

We want to thank you for all of your sweet comments on yesterday’s post. Somehow, like always, you know exactly what to say to ease our minds and hearts just a little bit, and we would never be able to adequately express how much it means to have you here with us. The fact that so many of you are interested in foster care and ask questions to educate yourself and others gives us hope that together, we can all make a positive change for the better.

On the home front, we may try to squeeze in some time to watch the new horror film on Netflix, Eli. Have you seen it? How creepy/good is the trailer? It seems like the perfect movie to curl up on the couch with some wine and watch the week before Halloween.

We hope you have a gorgeous weekend, friend.

PS: wanting to make these cookies this weekend!

Happy Friday! What are you up to this weekend? We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary yesterday and have a brand new YouTube video coming out in the next few days where we documented how we spent the whole day!

It’s been soooo chilly here this week (which we couldn’t be happier about) and we lit our first fire of the season! This is our favorite time of year for so many reasons and cozying up by the fire in the early morning while the sun is pouring in and at night time with a glass of wine is definitely up there as one of the biggest reasons. How is the weather where you live?

We’re babysitting the kids this weekend (!) and we plan to take them to the park that just got a complete renovation. It’s so cool and would have been our dream park as kids. We just put them down to bed so we’re going to hop off here and catch up on Carnival Row on Amazon Prime. Have you seen it yet? It’s kind of the perfect Halloween/fall show to get you in the spirit of the season, with mystical creatures and rainy, foggy weather the entire time. It’s not an amazing show, but it’s definitely worth the watch.

We hope you have a wonderful, cozy weekend, friend.

xoxo

Have a Delicious Weekend

What are you up to this weekend? Thomas’ friend Ashley is in town from South Carolina for her yearly visit, so we’re going to be showing her around town and catching up a bit. They met during training at his last job four years ago and she normally comes to visit during this time of year. She always talks about how much she loves our little town which always makes our hearts so happy 🥰.

We’re going to a bonfire tonight at Thomas’ brother’s house (s’mores!) because it’s finally starting to cool off a bit here which is so welcoming, especially coming back from Amsterdam where it was in the 50’s most of the time.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and happy national coming out day!! Click here if you would like to see to our coming out stories. xoxo

Have a Gourd-geous Weekend

What are you up to this weekend? We’ve got the kids again and are babysitting them through Sunday. The oldest one started school today (!) and we can’t wait to pick him up and hear about his first day 😊.

We’ve been watching True Detective season 2 lately, which, despite receiving somewhat negative reviews, we’ve actually enjoyed a lot. Maybe not as good as the first season, but still entertaining enough. Today though, The Politician came out on Netflix (finally) and we can’t wait to watch it tonight after the kids go to bed! Doesn’t it look so good?

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friend! xoxo

PS: Wow. It’s been a week, hasn’t it?

Have a Beautiful Weekend

What are you up to this weekend? We’re babysitting the kids again (!) so there’s going to be some trampoline and park time mixed in somewhere. They’ve been redoing one of the main parks here in town for just over a year, and it should be finished within the next month or so. The oldest kiddo asks if it’s finished every time he sees us and we can’t wait to finally take them once it’s ready!

We woke up to a 60 degree morning today and have been spending it outside on the back deck with the door open before it gets up to 90 degrees later on in the afternoon. PJ is repotting some plants and the kiddos are playing with the ball while the dogs watch cautiously.
We keep smelling a hint of something in the air that reminds us of our favorite hotel in Amsterdam, which is giving us all the feels. It’s been a good morning ❤️.

Hope you have a great weekend, friend. xoxo

PS: doesn’t Amsterdam look so dreamy in the fall?

Have a Wonderful Weekend

public.jpeg

What are you up to this weekend? We’re heading into the weekend feeling excited and optimistic. We have a second showing on the renovation house and we pick the kids up tonight for a few days! Also, it’s Friday the 13th AND a full moon, which apparently only 1% of full moons fall on Friday the 13th. Crazy, huh?

Though we normally like to take it easy on Friday’s, today is a busy one, with three YouTube videos and campaigns to shoot, a closing (we’re purchasing a piece of land connected to our big-project land so that everything is connected), a few orders to do for our apparel, and maybe finding some time to squeeze in a workout. We’ll see about that last one, though 😉.

We hope you have a great weekend, friend!!! xoxo

PS: a very good, interesting read.
