The Biggest Thing I Missed About Home While We Were at the Beach

The Biggest Thing I Missed About Home While We Were at the Beach

Spending more than a week at the beach left me missing home for one major reason.

Our bidet. Y’all, I can’t explain how life changing they are. My brother got us this one in our primary bathroom a few years back as a Christmas present after swearing by his. He’s obsessed with them, so much so that he ordered one for my uncle’s house (when we were all supposed to go there for Christmas last year) so that he could use it while he was there.

We, meanwhile, were not convinced. Bidets were a thing of the past, right? My dad had a permanent one installed for my mom one year as a Valentine’s Day present when they were still married. Yikes.

They just seemed gross to me and like we would never get any use out of one. So the bidet my brother got us just sat in a box for over a year, until one day PJ decided to install it. And when I tell you it’s a game changer. Now when I go places that don’t have one (read: every Airbnb ever) I hate it. It’s so uncomfortable and it has me longing for ours back home.

If you’re skeptical, I get it. I was too. But then I tried it and now I’ll never go back. The good thing is that it’s super easy to install and doesn’t take long, so if you don’t like it, you just take it off and that’s that.

Speaking from experience, I do think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much you love it, though. Bonus: It’s on sale and only $27 right now!!!
