Do You Play Puzzles?
/While we were at the beach a few months ago, they had a puzzle at the Airbnb we were staying at, and suddenly, we were hooked.
For some reason, we’ve never been a big puzzle family. We’re much more of a movie or drawing or hide and seek type of crowd, and puzzles weirdly never made it into the equation. But while we were staying at that condo, we busted out the puzzle and the kids actually kind of loved it. It held their attention and kept them busy long enough for us to get some work done and they had fun doing it.
I also love the benefits pf puzzles: Hassan Alnassir explains on PremiumJoy.com how puzzles help kids’ fine motor skills, their hand-eye coordination, problem solving skills, and their memory. So not only is it super fun for them to work on a puzzle together (the together part surprised me- they actually play really well together when doing puzzles), it’s also teaching them the skills they need to grow.
Our cousin and her two girls play puzzles all the time and now I see why. We bought another one at the store the other night and PJ, who is a huge problem-solver (so it’s no wonder he loves puzzles, too) started putting it all together with the kids in the living room.
Now I know what each kid is getting for their birthday from now on! How fun does this one look?
