We Hope You Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!
It’s the night before Thanksgiving. We’re hosting both of our families tomorrow, so we’re prepping as much as we can tonight.
I’m making the sweet potato casserole ahead, and PJ’s been making his famous crockpot stuffing tonight, too. Riah is dancing to the few Christmas songs he knows (Twelve Days of Christmas and Have a Holly Jolly Christmas) while all the kids watch The Great British Baking Show: Holidays in the living room. We have the tree lit and the lamps on, and the house feels extra warm and cozy, which is especially comforting tonight since it’s freezing outside.
I’m on the phone with my mom asking what she puts in her sweet potato casserole since I have three recipes pulled up and they all call for something different. Isn’t it wild how the same dish can have such a few wildly different ingredients? For example, they all have the same base, but some call for orange juice while others call for soy sauce and milk. Weird, right?
We’re now all watching The Velveteen Rabbit while I finish up the casserole and PJ perfects his stuffing. We’ll be back on here next week, so we hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving, dear friends!!! xoxo
