Have a Cozy Weekend

Dear reader, how was your week? What are you up to this weekend?

I have been largely absent from the blog this week, as it was a rather busy week here in the McKay house, which is why last night was such a fun beginning to the weekend. We had my best friend from high school and her daughters over for dinner, along with our good friend Julia. We all hung out and played with Josie while the kids ran around the house playing together. I love watching (and hearing) all of our children play together. They get along so well, which makes sense since we grew up together. She and her husband moved back here last year and we’ve only seen each other maybe 4 times since then. Last night we made a promise to change that.

We stayed up until 11p talking on the front porch and catching up and it was so much fun. Maybe a little too much fun: I woke up with a headache. “We’re old.” Mallory texted me this morning. And so it goes.
