Spring is in the Air
Today was hands down the prettiest day we’ve had so far this year. Everything about it was perfect, especially this evening. Bossa Nova music was serenading the entire house as we had the windows open for a few hours while I cooked a double batch of the best chicken casserole ever- one for us and one for my friend Mallory for dinner tomorrow night.
The kids were in and out of the backyard all evening, riding their bikes, playing in the clay, and kicking the ball around. I normally want winter to stay for just a while longer, but this year, I’m eagerly awaiting spring’s official arrival, especially if it’s this delicious.
Meanwhile, we ran out of hours again and couldn’t make it out to the farm tonight, which is where we really wanted to be. It’ll be so much easier when we’re out there full time on long breaks like we’re on this week, you know?
