The Best Playlist to Listen to While Cooking/Entertaining
Today was one of those slow and steady Mondays; the best kind of Monday in my opinion.
We had nowhere to rush off to and I took my time with work, finishing up the next issue of our weekly newsletter, Okay McKay that goes out tomorrow and editing a DIY lamp tutorial PJ did last week that should hopefully be going live tomorrow as well.
While I was making homemade spaghetti tonight, I turned on quite possibly the best playlist to listen to while you cook and/or entertain. And while I usually listen to Bossa Nova Radio, there is something about the sun in the springtime and the way it shines through our 100 year old windows that makes me want to switch things up. Might I add it is best enjoyed with your windows and doors open so you can feel a nice, gentle breeze blowing as you go about your business?
It’s the same playlist we’ve been listening to for over six years. Our friend Jen told us about it when we were attending a party at her house one evening and I asked her how every single song she was playing was so damn good. She said it’s her favorite playlist to play at parties and it has since become ours. It’s called…
Hipster Cocktail Party Radio on Pandora.
DO NOT SLEEP ON PANDORA. I’ve been a dedicated listener for over 15 years and it never lets me down. It’s one of my favorite ways to discover new artists/songs. This particular station is such a vibe. Think Alabama Shakes, Ray LaMontagne, The Black Keys, Leon Bridges, Amy Winehouse, and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats.
This time of year is when we always start playing it and it’s the perfect way to ring in the spring season. Now you know!
