Spring Has Officially Sprung

Yesterday PJ called me out to the backyard to see one of the flowering bushes behind our porch. I audibly gasped when I saw it because I had no idea it was blooming and it was absolutely gorgeous. Spring is officially here in Tennessee!

Gone are the browns of winter and now, everything is suddenly lush and green and blooming and I feel so much joy for all the life everywhere around us. I feel grateful we live in a world where spring is a thing, and for PJ who makes sure we have plants everywhere you look.

It was such a beautiful day that, after dinner, we decided to take the kids to the Greenway to ride their back last night to let out a little energy. This week is TCAP testing for Allan, so we’re making sure he is getting enough sleep, eating enough food, and letting out enough energy so that his mind is as focused as it can be.

It was the perfect spring evening, and it had me wishing it that it won’t soon get any warmer than it was last night. It was just the right temperature with a nice breeze blowing the whole time to keep us cool.

My only delete for the day would be all the pollen that coats every surface in sight in a blanket of yellow haze and makes my allergies absolutely horrible. Hoping the Zyrtec I took kicks in and helps.
