The Refrigerator at Holiday House

In more Holiday House-related good news, our refrigerator came in today!! And what’s even better, we were actually able to get the 400 lb beast into the house without any help.

The delivery driver’s truck was too big to make it up our narrow gravel driveway, so he parked in the middle of the road at the foot of the driveway and we had to unload the fridge into the back of PJ’s Tundra and drive it ourselves up to the house, unload it into the house, and carefully set it into place. I may have injured my lower back in the process (TBD) but it’s in and it’s going to look so good.

It’s going to be paneled, so right now it just looks like a big, tall, white rectangular machine, but here pretty soon, it’s going to be covered in gorgeous stained wood like the rest of the kitchen. Soon we will reveal all of the appliances and tell you all about them.

Meanwhile, we said goodbye to a few of our sheep today. We get asked all the time what we do with them, if they’re for meat or just a hobby. Ocoee Farm has always been a hobby farm, but right now we have too many sheep to keep up with, especially since lambing season is in full swing and we have about 20 something new sheep. The couple who bought them were extremely sweet, so we know they’re going to a good home, but even though it’s for the best, it was still hard to see them go.

I guess that’s farm life for you.
