Sorting and Organizing
Our kids’ clothes are everywhere. They’re spilling out of their drawers, they’re piled on top of the couch, they’re sitting in an unfolded heap on the chair. We’ve let them build up for so long that now it’s overwhelming how many clothes they have, and the crazy part is, sometimes I look at a piece of clothing and wonder where it came from. I don’t recognize it. That’s how bad it’s gotten.
Well, after putting it off for months, today we finally started making progress on going through them and sorting out which ones we want to keep and which ones we want to donate. PJ spent the majority of the morning upstairs going through them and I was downstairs folding and sorting. We have a few bags ready to drop off and it feels so good to have that, or at least part of that, out of the way. They’re at the ages where they grow out of something almost before they can put it on, so organizing their clothes has been a long time coming.
Meanwhile, I am writing this from bed, covered up in a cardigan and scarf, under the covers, and still freezing. I have felt like crap for the second day in a row, though I’m happy to report everyone else seems to be feeling better. I made our homemade chicken noodle soup recipe and it hit the spot.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow!
