Anna's Kindergarten Graduation
/The end of an era. Today our daughter graduated kindergarten and it’s the last time we will be able to say that about one of our babies. Sob! The days are long but the years are short.
The whole class put on three performances and then the principal called each of their names as they walked across the stage to get their certificate. She knew every word and movement to the songs and her face lit up every time see searched the crowd to see our faces. I wanted to squeeze her cheeks the whole time.
Afterwards we checked her out of school and celebrated with ice cream for a daddy-daughter date. I want this time in her life to slow down because I can’t imagine not seeing her with her toothless smile and her bob-style hairdo. But at the same time, I can’t wait to see her grow up and change as she experiences every new phase of life.
Parenthood, y’all. Such an emotional rollercoaster. My only delete for the day is still not feeling 100% better after catching the worst day stomach bug this past weekend. I should be completely good by tomorrow!
