The Countertops Are Going In at Holiday House!
/AHHHH!!! We’re finally at the stage with Holiday House where big, exciting things are happening, and after three and a half years, we FINALLY have countertops!!! The humungous slab for the island went in, along with the countertop to the left of the stove. They cut the right side down by 4 inches, so sadly it didn’t fit and didn’t get installed today.
Similarly, the countertops for our bathroom were also somewhat wrong, which is my Delete for the day: the sinks were way too small, so we had them remove the counter slab to be cut to fit bigger sinks. They still have to come back anyway to install the backsplash in the kitchen, so when they do that they will also install the rest of the counters in there and the bathroom.
Even though they’re not finished, seeing that island slab get installed today was like a huge weight lifted off of our shoulders, a weight we’ve been carrying the last three years while we’ve turned this single-wide trailer into a home. We’re sooooo close at this point, there are just like three or four little things that have to be done, but I wanted to share a little sneak peek with you on the counter install.
I can’t wait until it’s finished and we can reveal the whole thing!
