Hey you

Welcome to the blog. Here you’ll find daily dispatches and all the musings of our family’s adventures in our small town as we raise our kids, fix up our farm, and renovate houses, all through the lens of Keep & Delete, where we share the best (Keep) and worst (Delete) part of every day. Thanks for stopping by! We’re so glad you’re here.

Keep: We spoke to journalist Cathy Free from The Washington Post about our life, family, fostering and then adopting our kids, and the interview came out yesterday! She was such a joy to talk to on the phone last week, and she asked the most thoughtful questions. We’ve been overwhelmed with the comment section in the article because it’s all been a very positive response from what we’ve seen, something you don’t always get on the Internet. If anyone gets anything from the interview, we hope it inspires them or someone they know to consider foster care in the future. It can be so rewarding. It gave us our children, so we’re forever grateful for the process. You can click here to read the whole interview.

Delete: It rained all morning, which, at the beach, can be kind of a bummer. We carried the wagon and floats and cookies and set up shop, and then about 30 minutes later, we felt the rain start to come down, so we packed everything up and headed back to our little shack for the rest of the day. It then proceeded to rain on and off for the remainder of the evening. Hoping for better weather tomorrow!
