Rafting Down the Ocoee River
/Keep: We, and a couple of our friends, went rafting down the Ocoee River today for the first time in forever. We’ve grown up with this river in our backyard, and even though people travel from all over the country to come rafting here, we don’t do it nearly enough. It was a blast. The six of us, and our raft guide, all took the two hour journey down the middle part of the river, navigating rapids and the freezing cold water. Would you believe I was the only person who didn’t fall out of the raft the entire time?
After rafting, we went to PJ’s cousin’s son’s third birthday party. It was so nice seeing that whole side of the family again after a busy summer that kept all of us apart. They rented a water bouncy house, something that was told to us on the invitation but I somehow failed to read it, so our kids played in their regular clothes and got soaked and had the absolute time of their lives. It was the busiest Saturday we’ve had in a while, but we enjoyed every second of it.
I don’t think there is anything in the world more important than nights spent with your family. A bonus? The wind was cool tonight; the air even had a slight chill to it. Fall is coming, friends.
Can you handle his Minions-themed birthday party?
Delete: Today was so good, that I’m keeping it to something small and minuscule: Read the entire damn birthday invitation so that you’re not the only family showing up without swim suits.
