A Night Out

Keep: Last night, we went out to dinner with Matt and Beau for our first night out alone, without kids, in over a month. We went to our favorite little Italian restaurant, shared a bottle of wine, and stuffed our faces with pasta. It was glorious. Being at the beach for half the month, we had a ton to catch up on, so we took turns swapping stories of everything that has been going on the last few weeks. It feels so good to have adult conversations and hear what they’ve been up to. A lot can happen in just a few weeks! Afterwards we got a donut (or two) and picked up the kids super late from PJ’s mom’s house just down the street. It takes a village for a night out like this to happen, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the family and friends in our life that make it possible.

Delete: We were supposed to have internet hooked up at Holiday House yesterday, and we both woke up super early in order for PJ to be out there for when the installers came at 8am, but they never showed. PJ spent the entire day out at the farm waiting and calling and waiting some more and calling some more to no avail. No one ever came, and now we might not have internet out there for months. A very frustrating start to the weekend.
